Every one of these top athletes, these inspirational Regular people, had ONE Similar characteristic. It wasn’t making BIG Goals or SMART Goals or writing them down and looking at the them every day or anything complicated, fancy, or lengthy to do each day or any day. Their ONE Thing they had was a Burning Desire to do what they loved AND Do their own personal best each time they practiced, each time they competed. To do better than they did yesterday or last time. Each time it was “GO” time, their goal was simply to do better. If others practiced 3 hours a day they would practice 3 1/2. If others worked on a stroke, a move, a shot, or an activity 50 times, they practiced 150 times.

Michael Phelps trained 52 more times than any other Olympian in training by training on Sundays when others trained Monday thru Saturday. michael-phelps-10 Olympic medalsFIFTY TWO More DAYS and at 5 to 6 hours per day, that’s 260 to 312 more hours than his competitors. Is it any wonder why he is the most decorated Olympian?

The BURNING DESIRE motivated them to work harder, do just one more than they did last time.

It’s this burning desire that creates winners. The person who outlasts, outplays, outworks is the one who wins.

So. If you haven’t had success in your chosen business, then you don’t have that Burning Desire for success – success in being YOUR very best in being better today than you were yesterday. To put out one more piece of content than everyone else is putting out. To reach out to one more person than you did yesterday. To do one more push up, to say no to one more soda, to get up 15 minutes earlier, to do one better than yesterday.

Ask yourself, “Why am I pursuing this? What’s held me back so far? WHAT excuses have I made to myself?”
Be honest with yourself. If you can’t be honest with yourself, who can you be honest with?? Once you can be honest, you can move forward to do what you want, with a burning desire.
If YOU don’t have the burning desire, let’s face it, nobody else cares that you’re inconsistent. No one cares if you don’t workout today or eat junk food or don’t reach out to anyone or be who you feel inside you should be.

Start giving what you have with a burning desire and people will start to notice, people will start to watch, people will start to care, and people will start to buy, cheer you on, be in your corner.

So, what’s YOUR Burning Desire? Share it below. And if you’re too shy right now to declare it, at least let me know if you received some value from today’s post. Will YOU Do better today than yesterday??

Dedicated to YOUR Success,

Believing in yourself and not listening to others negativity is the most important aspect. As long as you have faith and fun doing what you like, that is the most important thing. Don’t let anyone steal your thunder and keep doing what you enjoy, even if it means you don’t win every time.
